PRIME POWER
High-performance film with recycled content.
The development of stretch films with recycled content has come a long way in recent years. Whereas not so long ago the recycled content impaired the quality of a film to such an extent that consumption was much higher, thanks to improved recycling and production technologies, high-performance films with recycled content can now also be produced.
Prime Power stretch films have a recycled content of at least 30% and therefore use significantly less fossil raw materials than conventional stretch films. Nevertheless, depending on the application, Prime Power stretch films can achieve up to 300% stretch and still have sufficient puncture resistanceto ensure excellent load unit security.
Sustainable packaging thanks to recycled stretch film
Stretch film consists of polyethylene and is therefore made from fossil raw materials. In the absence of alternatives that could achieve the same level of load unit securing, the use of stretch film with recycled content therefore makes perfect sense in terms of improving sustainability.
As stretch film is normally produced "for waste", stretch film recycling not only reduces the use of fossil raw materials, but also recycles waste that would otherwise no longer be used.
Packaging optimization for more sustainability
The best way to determine which product is best suited to sustainably optimizing your stretch film consumption is for a packaging optimizer, possibly with the support of application engineers .
