Climate-neutral packaging: A success story

For some time now, the Enviro Group has been offering its customers the delivery of climate-neutral packaging in cooperation with ClimatePartner.

Climate neutrality means that a product's carbon footprint has been calculated on the basis of internationally recognized standards and fully offset by supporting international climate protection projects.

ClimatePartner's "climate neutral" label certifies that unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions have been offset. To simplify matters, we refer to CO₂ emissions and state all emissions in tons of CO₂. This refers to CO₂ equivalents, i.e. all relevant greenhouse gases.

Offsetting CO₂ emissions is an important step in holistic climate protection, alongside avoidance and reduction. The Enviro Group has established the avoidance and reduction of CO₂ emissions as a continuous process and developed corresponding strategies.

As a significant contribution to achieving the company's internal climate targets, the Enviro Group offset all of its own transport packaging used last year. This neutralized 36,747 kg of CO₂ through reforestation measures in Germany.
